Neena is back home...

Thankfully, Neena is back home and doing MUCH better.  Here is a picture of Abby and Elisabeth making her a "Welcome Home" banner!

Latest on Neena...

Many of you have asked how Neena is doing~ so I thought I would do a quick update.  Yesterday, she was admitted to the hospital with an infection that needed to be treated with strong antibiotics.  She is feeling much better today and is getting as much rest as one can get in a hospital...Ha! Ha!

We hope to have her back home later in the week :)  

Naples...

Before my mom started back to work again, we thought we would take a quick overnight trip to Naples.  We left Ft. Lauderdale right when tropical storm Bonnie decided to hit land, but we were determined to not let it ruin our fun.

It rained the entire drive to Naples, but once we arrived, the rain let up long enough for us to hit the beach and look for shells.  When the rain started in again, we headed to the movie theater to watch
Toy Story 3 (which is a great movie!)

When we came out of the movie, the skies had cleared and we headed back to the beach for more shell collecting and playing in the sand!

The next morning, the weather was gorgeous and the kiddos were in the pool by 8:30! Unfortunately, we had to check out by 12~ but we played on the beach until it was time to pack up the car again!

For lunch, we stopped at Tin City.

It was a very short trip, but it was really fun for me to spend some alone time with my mom and the kiddos, while Brad got to spend some alone time with Neena!

Appointments...

Along with enjoying all of the fun things in Florida...

we have to catch up with our Dr. and dental visits.  We really miss our pediatrician and our dentist here in Hollywood!

It has been so good to be back in Florida~ reuniting with the Glam Glams!  My mom is doing MUCH better and gets her staples out tomorrow.  Thanks for all of your prayers and kind words :)

So far, we have been enjoying family, friends and any body of water we can find!

Please Pray for Memoo...

A few days ago my mom started having flu-like symptoms and severe abdominal pain.  Yesterday, she ended up in the ER and now is in surgery for what they believe is a twisted bowel.  We originally thought it was her appendix, so unfortunately this is more extensive.  I will be getting a flight out tomorrow to go and be with her (anyone willing to pick me up from Miami tomorrow?) The rest of the family will leave on their scheduled time of Monday.

*We have interns here and our English camp is in full-force right now...pray for everything that needs to get done before Monday
*Pray for Brad, as he has way too many plates spinning right now
*Pray for our kiddos, as they are scared 
*Pray for our teammate Lindsay who will need to keep things running when we are away

This is not exactly how we envisioned starting our summer vacation-but God knew and is faithful.

Losing my mind...

I knew it was happening, this just proves it.

Tonight I finally turned on the oven since Sunday, only to find the baked beans that I had made for the 4th of July party we had!  :)  I completely forgot to serve them and then just plain forgot about them for a few days!

Prague interns arrive

Along with the Schmalhofer family, they will be here all of next week helping us with the English camp.  Pray for them as they adjust to yet another culture!

Another month completed for my daily photo project of 2010!

What we have going on...

As per usual, we have been pretty busy with life...  Here's the latest

*Abby left for a school trip yesterday, and will be with her class just outside of Vienna for the next few days.  She was so excited that she packed her suitcase on Saturday!

*Luke has a big party today at school, even though they don't actually finish until Friday.  He requested I make a big batch of these for him to share with his classmates.

*Milka escaped out of the front door yesterday and then continued on down to our local grocery store.  Thankfully a man called the number on her tags and Brad was able to track her down in the produce isle.

Not so funny at first, but now that she is ok we all are sort of smiling :)

*We are gearing up for our Fourth of July party on Sunday!  Memoo sent a big box of decorations, we are going to grill and serve up some apple pie.  Lindsay is also going to make something that looks like this !

 *Next week is our English camp!  We have 36 kiddos signed up.  On Friday, 3 of the Prague interns will be joining us to help out.  It is a lot of work, but also lots of fun!

*Our team is reading through "A Praying Life" (you should read it too)

*I got a pretty cool shot of Levi last night!

Abby lost her 10th tooth today...exciting huh!

Levi's best friend in his class is Niki! They have such a great time together.  Here is a picture of them being silly at their graduation.

Niki just got a new puppy named Buddy, and today we were invited over for a play date with Milka.  Here is a photo of them getting to know each other!  How cute are they?

Unfortunately, Niki will attend another school next year, but his mom and I have vowed to keep hanging out together :)

Her roles included the moon and a flower!  She did a fantastic job and even had some adoring fans!

Luke made it on Austrian TV!

Today Luke took a field trip with his class to the zoo and he got to meet Jane Goodall! He was also interviewed by a local TV station...check it out here!

Levi calls to me from the other room..."Mom, come hold my feet, so I can do some head-ups!"
