Comfort Food

Levi knows just where to go for some comfort...the freezer of course--to get out the JUMBO 60 oz. bag of chocolate chips!

I recently have been taking way too many trips to the freezer, trying to find my source of comfort and strength in something other than the love of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Why do I do this? --a question probably that will continue to be asked.

For those of you who are reading this silly blog, who may struggle with some of the same issues of the heart, take comfort in something that lasts a little longer than a carb rush...

Psalm 28:6-9 would be a great place to start--
"Blessed be the Lord,
For He has heard the voice of my plea for mercy.
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
In Him my heart trusts,
And I am helped;
My heart exults and with my song I give thanks to Him.
The Lord is the strength of His people,
He is the saving refuge of His anointed."

Dear Stacey,
Thanks for Psalm 28:6-9. By the time I finished writing it on index card to post to fridge, I totally lost craving for the marshmellowy-chocolate something. Freedom in Jesus is much, much sweeter!!

Lovingly,
