Our Abby girl is growing up way too fast. Tonight we oohed and aahed over her baby pictures and then giggled at the video of her singing her heart out at the age of 3. Later, as I was putting her to bed, she asked me to copy a few of her baby pictures so she could put them in a book and one day show them to her husband. I then asked her if I could pray for her future husband and she said "of course", very maturely.
I prayed that "wherever he might be right now"... and she interrupted and said yeah, maybe Africa or China...(sign of a true third culture kid I suppose!)
We continued the prayer and ended with our secret handshake and kisses.
Another mother/daughter moment that is surely treasured...

This is so sweet! Really, it brought tears to my eyes -- and I'm not even a mother yet.
I added links to recipes for the marshmallow cream in the comments on my blog. :)
We miss her soooooooooo much. She is growing up too fast for Auntie Dede. Please give her a big hug and squeeze from us.
Adorable!What precious moment!
I too love that "big girl time" (when I am awake enough to engage it!) and I love your secret handshake! Thanks for sharing and for the reminder to pray for our kids' future spouses! Love you guys!
