Part of "retreating" includes just finding fun things to do with the family. Our hotel offered riding lessons, so Abby could hardly wait. Now, of course my version of a riding lesson would be talking a slow walk on a trail or being lead in a circle inside the stable.
Fortunately, there was a language barrier (this is one time it was a good thing) and I had no idea what these lessons would include...because I probably would not have let her go if I had know she was going to do this...
and this...

Looks like a great memory she'll have for a LONG time - fantastic!
Oh, this is SO Abby. Perfect! Gotta love that girl.
i love these pictures. abby has a wonderful gift. i rode for many years and can't tell you how unusual it is to see a girl her age completely at ease on a horse. what a fantastic experience...and europeans know what they are doing with horses- they always win all the olympics :)
Awesome. How many girls get to do THAT??! I guess just this once I'll say I'm happy for the language barrier:)
You go girl! That's what I want to be when I grow up ... a cow girl! Love you AbbyGirl!
